For Funders & Project Partners

Support work that can show how decisions are made.

TILT is building a restoration model in which ecological intervention, relationships, permissions, monitoring and long-term stewardship are documented together rather than treated as separate pieces of a project.

Partnership framework

What we expect a credible project to make clear.

As TILT projects are established, partners should be able to understand the basis for the work, who is involved, what can responsibly be measured or shared, and what responsibilities continue after restoration.

01

Place & need

The ecological condition, history, public-benefit rationale and reason restoration is being proposed.

02

Relationships & governance

The Indigenous Nation or Nations connected to the territory, participating partners, decision-making roles and governance arrangements.

03

Knowledge & permissions

The scientific basis for decisions and any Indigenous knowledge that is shared under agreed permissions and knowledge-governance arrangements.

04

Restoration plan

Objectives, interventions, timeline, risks, responsibilities and the resources needed to carry the work through.

05

Monitoring & learning

What can be measured, what questions remain open, what results may be shared publicly and how the project can adapt over time.

06

Long-term stewardship

Who remains responsible for the place, how care is funded and governed, and what enduring stewardship or transfer arrangement is being pursued where appropriate.

Capability without invented scale

TILT will not manufacture acreage totals, project counts, Indigenous endorsements or impact statistics before they exist. As work develops, we intend to publish verified project information, governance documents and monitoring results that can withstand scrutiny.

Partnerships can start before funding is attached

Researchers, restoration practitioners, foundations, institutions and other potential partners are welcome to discuss project design, technical support, monitoring, education, due diligence or funding needs at an early stage.

Start a conversation

If you are considering a grant, technical partnership, research collaboration, professional contribution or project referral, tell us what you are trying to accomplish and where you think TILT may be useful.
